Homestay sevice is provided to an international student who attends schools in the US. Student stays with homestay host family throughout academic year. Homestay host also providehomestay host will become the guardian of the student during the period of his/her school. Below is the guideline. The best way to understand the guideline to host young students is to treat them like your child.

Host provides student a single room with basic furniture set such as desk, chair, desk light, bed, closet, bedclothes. |

Host provides breakfast and dinner during weekdays and three meals during weekend. If the host is not able to get together on meal time, host should prepare the meal ready in advance. |

Each host family member 18 and over shall be asked to fill out a confidential background form to ensure the safe homestay environment. |

 |
Host welcomes the student as a new family member, not as a someone who rents a room. Host shall treat the student like his/her child. |
| |
 |
Student will take school bus if school runs bus available, otherwise host needs to provide rides to/from school. Student must pre-schedule with host for other rides such as extra curriculum, activities and shopping, etc unless sudden situation. Homestay fee may be adjusted depending on ride situation. |

Host should accompany the student to a hospital in any medical emergency situation. |

Regional agent will check up by calling host family and student periodically. Regional agent may visit host house if necessary. |

Host house should be high-speed internet ready. Host shall set a house rule to manage student's usage of internet. |
| |
 |
Host should contact either regional HSF agent or HSF headquarter in any case of emergency of the student. |
| |
 |
Host needs to provide guardian role in behalf of parent for school matters,such as participating teacher's meeting, other school events. |
